Not the best of Oreck's vacuums suction wise, but does pretty good. It's a little bit heavier compared with others in Oreck's upright lineup, too. Love the UV light, in using it I have certainly noticed the difference over the last three years in regards to allergies. I had a Dyson previously, so I do believe the reduction in allergies is due to the UV light. I will certainly be sorry when it's done for. We have vacuumed daily since we received it, it's held up pretty well, even with young children trying to hitch an occasional ride. Our Dyson died coincidentally right after the warranty was up, we vacuumed daily with it, too - thus the reason we decided to try Oreck. Depending on how long we get out of our Halo, we may go with another Oreck after everything is said and done, or have our Halo repaired, if possible. Oreck unfortunately does not sell the Halo any longer.
