Did the job
This part sufficiently replaced the old vacuum tube and mini emptor on my G5. The mini-emptor fits a little snugly and is a bit hard to twist on and off of the vacuum; at first, I thought it didn't fit at all because it would barely turn inward toward the vacuum and then just seemed to be stuck. I had to really put some muscle into getting it twisted on all the way. The materials used to construct this are not the same as the old tubing and mini-emptor, they are lighter and thinner, but so far it's been fine and is doing the job.

part does not included the mini emptor
Part recieved did not match the picture. Part did not include the mini emptor, only the fill tube. Returned part.
New lease on life
The new part was a perfect fit. It consists of two plastic end fittings connected by a length of flexible hose. But since the hose is the only part subject to failure why doesn't Kirby sell just the hose? The hose would be easier to replace than removing the dust bag which is required to replace the entire assembly.
